To foster closer home-school co-operation and facilitate better communication with parents, over 300 parents of S.1,2,4,5 were invited to have a gathering on the afternoon of 5 May. It was a chance for them to have a cozy chat with the teachers about their children. The welcoming speech was presented by our Acting Principal and Vice-Principal, who expressed their thanks to the parents for their coming. Then Mr. Chow, the representative of Healthy Campus gave S.1 and S.2 parents a talk“Know More about the Mobile Century,” and Ms. Lee Yim Ling introduced the influence of dropping DSE elective subjects to S.4 and S.5 parents respectively. Finally, the parents were divided into groups and discussed with their class teachers how they could get their children well-prepared for the future. The parents also shared their experiences in guiding and supporting their children with the teachers.
The gathering ended at four, and the parents left with a better understanding of their children's performance in school. We all believed that more home-school cooperation and a closer link between school and parents is an asset to the healthy growth of our students.
